Actor Will Ferrell, who is neither a woman nor a female athlete (that I know of), doesn’t understand why anyone would be “threatened” by a man who cosplays as a woman.
Speaking in an interview around the release of his pro-trans documentary “Will & Harper,” Ferrell was asked why he thinks “transphobia” exists.
“I think we fear what we don’t know,” the actor responded.
"I don’t know why trans people are meant to be threatening to me as a cis male,” he continued. “I don’t know why Harper is threatening to me...why would you care if somebody’s happy? Why is that threatening to you? If the trans community is a threat to you, I think it stems from not being confident or safe with yourself.”
Or maybe it stems from being a vulnerable woman who’s now being forced to change, shower, or share private spaces with grown men in drag. Maybe it stems from female inmates being shoved into cells with violent men who've simply decided they "identify" as females. Or perhaps from homeless women and sexual abuse victims being housed alongside men, regardless of whether it's traumatizing or dangerous.
Or maybe it stems from middle school girls being made to compete in sports against boys with insurmountable biological advantages, from high school girls having to surrender their scholarships to guys, or from professional female athletes who’ve worked for years - or even decades - to hone their craft being forced to give up their trophies, championships, and medals to physically dominant men who simply “believe” they’re women.
None of which Ferrell would know - or apparently care - about.

“There is hatred out there,” Ferrell told The Independent, referring to the alleged "hatred" that crossdressing men encounter while usurping women's spaces. “It’s very real and it’s very unsafe for trans people in certain situations…But I don’t know why trans people are meant to be threatening to me as a cis male. I don’t know why Harper is threatening to me.”
To a man? Of course he’s not.
To a woman? Absolutely. But to leftists, this has never really been about protecting women.
