What ever happened to basic manners? Or, you know, simply not being a raging jackhole for absolutely no reason?

It seems a good chunk of society missed the memo on being a halfway decent person, making it harder for the rest of us to have nice things. Case in point: this jerk, who was caught on camera deliberately knocking a full tray of food out of a restaurant server’s hands.

If you’re waiting for a punchline to make that make sense, there’s not one. That’s the whole story - just one dude who decided to topple a whole tray of full plates out of the employee’s grip for no reason whatsoever before casually walking away.

Check it out:

The incident occurred at Garcia’s Seafood Grille and Fish Market in Miami on Mother’s Day, leaving the server stunned and the manager initially upset.

“My first response was anger,” restaurant owner Luis Garcia told Local10. “He knocked over the tray full of food, which was unfortunate. It was Mother’s Day. We had to make that food again. We have to clean the floors.”

Garcia said the shocking scenario unfolded after the man demanded to be seated ahead of a line of other waiting customers, many of whom had reservations on what is historically one of the busiest restaurant days of the year. The eatery's general manager repeatedly asked him to leave before finally being forced to call the police, trying to avoid an altercation, Garcia said. A few moments later, surveillance camera caught the moment the man walked past the employee and slapped over his tray of food.

Proving that there are at least some decent people out there trying to offset the dregs of humanity, Garcia said multiple people have called the restaurant offering to tip the server.

I’d settle for charging this moron with harassment, causing a disturbance, and theft.
