If leftists were looking for more beef with McDonald’s following their outrage over incoming President Donald Trump’s fry-tossing stunt, they need look no farther. Everyone else? Go order up a Quarter Pounder and rejoice.
McDonalds has become the latest U.S. company to ditch its ridiculous and costly woke DEI policies, joining the growing list of corporations giving up on the “inclusive” programs they implemented as publicity stunts following the death of George Floyd back in 2020 - likely in an effort to keep their brick-and-mortars from being torched to the ground by angry mobs.
In an open letter to employees citing the 2023 Supreme Court decision on affirmative action and the “evolving landscape around DEI,” the global fast food franchise says they will no longer hire people based on filling race, gender, LGBTQ, or other characteristic-based quotas, and won’t choose suppliers based on the same.

According to Fox Business, “The changes include McDonald's scrapping its ‘aspirational representation goals,’ getting rid of its DEI pledge for its suppliers, changing the name of its diversity team to the Global Inclusion Team and ending external surveys.”
The latter implies the company will no longer participate in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, an annual poll by the far-left LGBTQ advocacy group the promotes and gauges “policies, practices and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) employees."
Walmart, Ford, and John Deere have already announced they’ve canceled some or all of their expensive DEI policies, with Walmart closing their five-year, $100 million “equity racial center” after realizing it didn’t exactly do anything.
