An Iranian woman who stripped down to her underwear outside Tehran’s Islamic Azad University to protest hijab laws has been detained by Iranian authorities.
Video of the woman went viral on social media after being shared by Amnesty International, showing the woman in her bra and underwear with her hair uncovered calmly standing on the university steps in protest of Iran’s harsh laws governing women’s clothing, which mandate headscarves.

The laws are often enforced by the state’s “morality police,” which has been responsible for a slew of violent beatings and even deaths of women who refuse to comply or who are caught committing even minor infractions of the law.

Another subsequent video shows the same woman walking down a street before she is surrounded by a group of men, who throw her into a vehicle. She has since disappeared, with reports suggesting the group that grabbed her was with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a paramilitary branch of the Iranian Armed Forces.

Amnesty International later said the woman had been “violently arrested.” Meanwhile, the university’s public relations director claimed the woman was suffering a mental health episode - which is another way of pretending women aren’t fed-up with Islamic extremists’ garbage laws and rampant oppression.
Meanwhile, in America, liberal white women are complaining about being treated as “handmaids” because millions of people disagree with their “right” to kill children in the womb.
Take notes, ladies. This is what courage looks like. And the price for it is much higher than someone disagreeing with you on the internet.
