Venezuelan illegal aliens being detained at an immigration detention center in Texas took advantage of a drone flying nearby and used their bodies to spell out “SOS,” the international morse code signal “save our souls.”
Because they were being mistreated? No. Because they were starving? Nah.
Reportedly, because they’re afraid of being identified as gang members and deported by the Trump administration.
Thirty-one men in red and orange jumpsuits being held at the Bluebonnet Detention Facility in the town of Anson spelled out the distress sign on the facility’s dirt field after seeing the drone, which belonged to the Reuters news organization and which just happened to conveniently be flying over the field at that exact moment, trying to catch images of the inmates.

The clip comes as the Trump administration ramps up efforts to deport illegal aliens convicted of serious crimes including murder, child rape, and drug offenses, as well as gang members affiliated with Tren de Aragua or MS-13. Last week, the administration sent notices to dozens of detainees being held at the facility notifying them that they had been identified as members of Tren de Aragua, a violent international gang based on Venezuela, and subject to deportation under the Alien Enemies Act. Their deportation was temporarily stalled by a court order after the families of seven accused gang members claimed they weren’t gang members.
Just, you know, some criminals who entered the country in willful violation of our immigration laws and demanded to stay.
At least.
