On the list of “Things That’ll Screw You Up For Life,” watching your dad practically decapitate your mom is probably pretty high up there. And yet, that’s what 33-year-old Baltazar Perez-Estrada’s kids will be dealing with from now until the end of time.
Perez-Estrada, an illegal alien from Mexico who came across President Joe Biden’s open border less than a month ago, reportedly strolled into the Carol Stream Police Department in western Chicago around 11:30 a.m. on April 1 and told the cops he’d just stabbed his wife.
And as bad as that would have been, it turned out to be quite the understatement.
An investigation found Perez-Estrada and his wife, 26-year-old Maricela Simon Franco, had gotten into an argument at around 10:30 p.m. on March 31. Perez-Estrada then allegedly stabbed Franco in the head, neck, and body multiple times, nearly taking her head entirely off in the process. Police say all this happened in front of the couple’s two young children.

According to prosecutors, Perez-Estrada came into the U.S. unlawfully just two weeks before he stabbed his wife to death. He was charged with alien inadmissibility and handed a court date - not, of course, that that matters to his now-dead spouse, or his traumatized kids.
Now, he’s got another court date, this one scheduled for April 25 where he’ll face five counts of first-degree murder.
