You’d think, what with the massacre of Israelis a few weeks ago by violent barbarians who hate America almost as much as they hate the Jews, the federal government in the U.S. would be paying a bit more attention to our porous southern border.

But alas, that would require two things: 1) for them to actually care about the Jews, and 2) for them to give the furry end of a rat’s behind about Americans - neither of which appear to be true.

Ergo, why authorities in New York City this week nabbed a suspected terrorist wanted in another country, a full two weeks after he was allowed to enter the United States after crossing the border illegally.

According to Fox News’ Bill Melugin on Twitter/X, “Border Patrol unknowingly released an African terrorism suspect into the U.S. after he was caught crossing illegally into AZ on 10/3.

“One week later, on 10/10, HSI notified ICE that he was wanted in Senegal for “terroristic activities.’ ICE then arrested him in NYC on 10/17,” Melugin went on, adding, “This means a wanted terror suspect was roaming freely in the US for two weeks after crossing the southern border illegally, and was released into the U.S. by Border Patrol, who had no idea about his background at the time.”

KVOA in New York confirmed Thursday that “A 29-year-old noncitizen was arrested on October 17th in New York City, following a brief encounter earlier this month with US Border Patrol in Lukeville, Arizona.”

The man was wanted in Senegal on a slew of terrorism-related charges, including “criminal conspiracy in relation to a terrorist organization; destruction, degradation and damages in relation to a terrorist organization; acts or preparatory acts aimed at compromising public safety or causing serious political troubles; direct provocation of an armed crowd; and holding arms without prior administrative authorization.”

Isn’t that just lovely.

Melugin continued that when he asked U.S. Border Patrol how a terror suspect with a criminal record in another country could get into the United States, he was told that “If BP checks come up negative then they assume he’s clear, if derogatory info is developed through another source like an attaché or biometrics info, that shows up later, then it gets loaded into a shared database. BP doesn’t have the luxury of sitting on these folks for weeks.”

I suppose that means Americans don’t have the luxury of knowing who’s coming into our country, or feeling safe from suspected foreign terrorists in their own cities.

Meanwhile, the wanted man is being held in custody without bond while he awaits removal from the U.S. One fortunately down, God only knows how many more to go.
