The Rock is rolling back his 2020 endorsement of Joe Biden.

In an exclusive sit-down with Fox News, actor and professional wrestling superstar Dwyane Johnson admitted he publicly endorsed Biden in his 2020 campaign against then-President Donald Trump. At the time, Johnson told his millions of fans and followers that Biden and his then-running mate Kamala Harris were the “best choice to lead our country.”

Now, it's a public position he says he wish he'd never taken.

"The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one that I thought was the best decision for me at the time," Johnson confessed. "And I thought back then ... 'Hey, I’m in this position where I have some influence, and it’s my job' - then, I felt like that then - 'that it’s my job now to exercise my influence and share that this is who I’m gonna endorse.'"

"Am I gonna do that again this year? That answer is ‘No,'" he continued.

“I also realized that what that caused back then, was something that tears me up in my gut back then and now, which is division,” Johnson went on. “The takeaway after that — months, and months and months [later] — I started to realize like, ‘Oh man, that caused an incredible amount of division in our country.'"

“In the spirit of that, there’s gonna be no endorsement. Not that I’m afraid of it at all, but it’s just I realize that this level of influence, I’m going to keep my politics to myself. I think it’s between me and the ballot box,” he said.

When it comes to the state of America in general, Johnson says he's not too happy about that, either, but that he's hopeful things will start to turn around.

"Am I happy with the state of America right now? That answer is ‘No,'" he said, adding, "Do I believe we’re gonna get better? I believe in that, I’m an optimistic guy.”

The 'Jumaji' star concluded that at the end of the day, he'll support whoever the American people choose as their next president, saying, "That'll be my president."
