The city of Denver is considering cutting some city employees’ hours - i.e., making it even harder for these people to pay their bills in Joe Biden’s crappy economy - to support the tens of thousands of illegal aliens who’ve flooded into the Colorado city.

The idea, which is still being mulled over, is part of the city’s plan to cut some $4.3 million from its budget in order to fund the money to assist the 36,000 or so illegal aliens who’ve made their way to Denver since 2022, about half of which have stayed. Ti come up with the cash, the city is considering cutting back on work hours for some desk employees and lifeguards, many of whom already make peanuts.

“The reduction in hours of operation and programs will affect the number of hours worked by many on-call, some to the point where they may not receive any hours,” said Denver Parks and Recreation Director Jolon Clark, per the National Review.

The move would also mean the city won’t hire seasonal employees it otherwise would have employed.

Denver’s migrant problem has gotten so bad, even some pro-migrant advocacy groups have begged the city to close its doors to new arrivals, saying there’s no more money or support to be offered. In the face of a multi-million-dollar budget deficit, Denver has already said it will close four migrant shelters to the tune of $60 million in savings, but it still isn't enough.

The city recently reimposed a stay limit for migrants, giving families 42 days to live in tax-funded hotels and shelters before having to find someplace else to go. Individuals have a grand total of two weeks.

That should help solve the city’s already overwhelming homeless crisis.
