A California congresswoman said on live TV over the weekend that her 12-year-old daughter is terrified to the point of sobbing that she’ll be raped one day and won’t be able to get an abortion because Donald Trump is president.
Which I’m pretty sure is the very definition of horrible parenting.
Rep. Katie Porter, who represents Orange County, said during a news broadcast this weekend that her daughter began sobbing in the car after being picked up from water polo practice last week.
“I was like, ‘Did someone hit you? Did the coach yell at you? What happened?’ And she said, ‘Mom, Trump won…Trump's gonna win, and what if I get raped and I need to have an abortion.’ This is from a 12-year-old, my 12-year-old daughter.”

Now, I’d bet every dollar in my bank account - which, thanks to Trump, is more than it was even a week ago - that this never happened. But if it did, it says an awful lot about what a garbage mom you are if your sixth grader is worried to the point of tears that she might be sexually assaulted and impregnated one day, and that she won’t be able to kill the baby.

Which, in her home state of California, won’t be a problem at all, given that the “Golden” State allows a mother to kill her unborn child at any point and for any reason up to the moment of birth.
