Less than a week.

Less than a week to go before this train wreck of an administration skids sideways, sparks flying, into the station, as we all stare horrified and relieved that it’s over.

Soon-to-be-former President Joe Biden stumbled his way through yet another explainer Monday, in which he bizarrely claimed that illegal border crossings dropped after he assumed the presidency in January of 2021 (they didn’t - not by a long shot) because he put more “Secret Service agents” on the border.

Yes. “Secret Service agents.”

"Lets get something straight about the border: When I became president, the numbers came way down,” a clearly irritated Biden told reporters.

That’s not at all true, of course - in fact, here’s a handy chart from Customs and Border Protection showing just how high illegal alien border crossings spiked in FY2021, the last nine months of which were under the new Biden administration.

But according to Biden and his very addled 82-year-old brain, none of that actually happened -  because, as he tells it, he "pushed very hard" to put more "Secret Service agents" on the border.

“I pushed very hard to put more…to put more Secret Service agents on the border, and guess what? He’s on the phone saying, ‘Don’t do it, don’t do it,’” Biden went on, speaking of incoming President Donald Trump’s alleged plot to thwart his border security efforts.

Less than a week, y'all.
