Want to grab some extra attention at the Golden Globes, where a horde of celebrities are already dressed to the nines and clamoring for the spotlight?
Just be a bearded dude in a dress, of course.
That’s the sight with which awards show attendees and viewers - and the general public perusing social media, like Yours Truly - were were all accosted Sunday night. While various stars were being showered with shiny little statues at yet another self-aggrandizing ceremony, Jonathan Van Ness, a very-much-male hair stylist and “TV personality,” donned a shiny green floor-length gown and sashayed his way down the red carpet doing his best inverse Victor/Victoria impression.

Fooling exactly no one except leftist morons who already think men with penises can be ladies so long as they throw on some pumps and say they “feel” like it.

What’s perhaps most irritating about this whole charade, beyond the obvious offensiveness, is that Van Ness doesn’t identify as “trans.” He uses he/him pronouns, and publicly acknowledges he’s a man. But he puts on spangly gowns and women’s jewelry and struts around in high heels whenever a camera's on him because he knows crossdressing men who co-opt femaleness as a costume are the left’s Flavor of the Week, a gimmick that will catapult him from being a hairdresser no one cares about and whose name no one knows to a social media star practically overnight.
Which, in all fairness, he should be - for being a weirdo at the center of public shame, not for being the latest poster child for the left's definition of bravery.
Meanwhile, actual women - be they athletes, domestic abuse victims, moms in gym locker rooms, or female inmates - continue to suffer the poisonous effects of having their gender perverted as an “identity” by mentally ill men who think being a woman is a choice, a publicity stunt, or both, and the left's willingness to accept this insanity this as not only normal, but laudable.
