Media Research Center Pres. Brent Bozell was honored with the Family Research Counsil’s (FRC) “Vision and Leadership Award" at its 2015 Values Voters Summit Gala on Saturday.

Conservative leaders, ranging from radio giant Mark Levin to former Attorney General Edwin Meese III, paid tribute to Bozell, citing his legacy of demanding media fairness, honesty, and accountability.

Levin praised Bozell for his staunch refusal to tolerate tyranny, dubbing him “Our nation’s town crier.”

Meese called Bozell “One of the most indispensable men of our time” and honored his “warrior spirit” and commitment to faith, morality, and integrity.

FRC Pres. Tony Perkins presented the award to Bozell. Perkins praised Bozell for “speaking his mind and challenging the minds of others” while reminding us all that a patriot’s first responsibility is “the love of God and the protection of home.”
