Update:

During Thursday's press briefing, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders denied reports that the White House has decided on the fate of the so-called "Dreamers" program.

"Final decision on that front has not been made and when it is, we will certainly inform everybody in this room," said Sanders.

She said that the DACA program is "under review" and that there are "a lot of components that need to be looked at."

On the report by Fox News that President Trump will announce plans to dismantle the program, Sanders said, "No offense to your colleague from Fox News, I think I'm a little bit more informed that they are in terms of when the White House has made a decision. And as I said a moment ago, it has not been finalized."

Original story:

President Trump will announce as early as Friday his administration’s plans to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program, or DACA, a senior White House official told Fox News’ chief White House correspondent John Roberts on Thursday.

Enacted in 2012 under the Obama administration, DACA allows illegal immigrants who entered the country as minors to remain in the country by applying for renewable two-year visas.

There are currently 800,000 young immigrants enrolled in the program.
