BREAKING: At Least 10 Shot, 28 Total Injured in Brooklyn Subway Shooting

Update (4/12/2022, 2:09 pm EST): 

Fox News reported the following update:

A manhunt is underway in New York City for a suspect accused of donning a gas mask, setting off a smoke canister and opening fire inside a Brooklyn subway train and station during the morning commute Tuesday, injuring at least 28 people, five of whom are in critical condition.

The attack began around 8:24 a.m., as a Manhattan-bound N train approached the 36th St. station in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The suspect, described as an approximately 5’ 5" tall Black male with a heavy build, is still at large and is "dangerous," New York Gov. Kathy Hochul told reporters nearly four hours after the shooting. 

Original Story: A very sad and fluid situation is unfolding in Brooklyn, New York on Tuesday as information is trickling in concerning some kind of shooting that occurred on the New York subway that has left at least 11 to 13 people injured - depending the news outlet you reference - five of which were reportedly shot. There have also been reports of "undetonated devices."

The suspect is still at large.

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) tweeted the following statement Tuesday morning:

In regard to the multiple people shot at the 36th Street subway station in Brooklyn, there are NO active explosive devices at this time. Any witnesses are asked to call @NYPDTips at #800577TIPS. Please stay clear of the area. More provided information when available.
