Multiple sources are reporting that a federal judge ordered the Trump administration to restore CNN's "indefinitely suspended" White House correspondent Jim Acosta's press pass on Friday.

According to CNBC:

A federal judge on Friday granted CNN's request for a court order that would temporarily reinstate network correspondent Jim Acosta's White House press pass, which had been suspended indefinitely in the wake of a fiery exchange between the reporter and President Donald Trump a week earlier.

The ruling from Judge Timothy Kelly, who was appointed by Trump, was the first victory for CNN in the ongoing case.

"I will grant the application for the temporary restraining order I order the [government] reinstate the pass," Judge Kelly said, according to Fox News.

It's important to note that Acosta's press pass restoration is only "temporary" for the time being. The lawsuit, brought forth on Tuesday by CNN, is still ongoing. The suit claims that Acosta's constitutional rights had been violated after the Trump administration "indefinitely suspended" Acosta's White House press pass privileges on November 7th.

CNBC also reported that "CNN asked the judge to quickly rule on the request for a temporary restraining order, arguing that "every day that passes without Acosta regaining his press credentials is a concrete injury.""
