U.S. national security adviser John Bolton held a press conference in Moscow on Wednesday after meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin to discuss a possible meeting between Putin and President Trump.

After much anticipation, Bolton confirmed that there would, in fact, be a summit between Putin and Trump in what would be the first formal meeting between the two world leaders.

He said, however, that the details of said summit would be revealed by the White House on Thursday.

CNN reports that the details will be revealed in a "joint announcement" between the Kremlin and the White House, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

The meeting is expected to take place mid-July, when Trump is scheduled to be in Europe for a NATO summit in Brussels and a working visit to Britain.

“Media outlets have named Helsinki, Finland, or Vienna, Austria, as potential locations,” reports The Hill.

CNN says that a U.S. official has told the network that Helsinki, Finland "remains a leading site contender."
