Media Research Center President Brent Bozell says Joy Behar’s private apology to VP Mike Pence for her bigoted anti-Christian comments is good, but not good enough.

“It is a good first step that Joy Behar privately apologized to Vice President Pence, but it is not nearly enough,” Bozell said in a statement Thursday.

“Behar and ABC need to publicly apologize for the bigoted slurs on ‘The View.’ The bigoted statements made about the Vice President's Christian faith offended hundreds of millions of Christians across the country, the largest faith group in the United States. Their apology should, therefore, be as public as their insult. When they do that, this whole matter will be put to rest. Until they do, we will not let up our campaign to let the world -- including their advertisers -- know of their anti-Christian bigotry."

Without a public apology the MRC has taken action, calling on conservatives to voice their displeasure, listing The View's advertisers and even bringing the message to stop supporting anti-Christian bigotry directly to the streets outside their corporate offices.

Disney CEO Bob Iger has claimed that Behar apologized to Vice President Pence directly for her bigoted statements on the program.

"It’s one thing to talk to Jesus,” Behar said while commenting on Pence’s Christian faith during an episode of The View. “It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you. That’s called mental illness, if I’m not correct, hearing voices."

It seems voices calling for advertisers to pull their support away from The View will continue to be heard.
