Border-Avoiding Kamala Harris Blames 'the Lack of Climate Adaptation and Climate Resilience' For Biden's Border Crisis

Vice President Kamala Harris, who was tapped more than a month ago to head up the Biden administration’s response to the border crisis-that-isn’t but hasn’t done a darn thing of note so far, is now blaming "the lack of climate adaptation and climate resilience” as “root causes” of the historic surge of illegal aliens now flooding the Southwest U.S. border.

Of course, it’s not like the weather in El Salvador has changed much since this time last year, when illegal immigration under the Trump administration wasn’t nearly what it is today. But given their absolute insistence that the crisi- er, sorry, totally minor human trafficking incident happening every day along our border with Mexico isn’t their fault, the Biden administration, which ran a 2020 campaign on promises of an all but open-borders policy, is now blaming any and everything else for the 1 million illegal aliens expected to cross the border this year alone.

That includes the left’s favorite catch-all boogeyman: “climate change,” as well as crime, poverty, gang violence, etc.

"I’m thinking of corruption, violence and poverty, the lack of economic opportunity, the lack of climate adaptation and climate resilience, the lack of good governance," Harris said in a speech Tuesday where she took a stab at why hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens are currently streaming into the country – other than Biden’s public vows that they’d be let in, of course.

To fix these “root causes,” Harris, who has yet to visit the border or any of the 13 temporary overflow facilities the administration has opened to deal with the influx of illegal alien children and teens, suggested sending food, shelter and water to Honduras and starting programs to help Guatemalan farmers plant drought-resistant crops.

Oh, and also to help female farmers plant more.

On top of the $60 million the Biden administration is already spending per week to house unaccompanied alien children and teens, the president has also vowed $4 billion in U.S. taxpayer money to help Central American countries deal with their myriad issues to stop illegal immigration. The administration is also floating the idea of straight-up sending cash – i.e., paying would-be-illegal aliens (or at least their crappy governments) not to come here.

I'd say we could all start taking bets on whether Biden's not at all original plan will work out, but considering we're all going to be broke by the time we get done paying for all his socialist agenda items, perhaps its best to hang on to our cash.

For as long as we can, at least.
