BLM Protesters Shut Down London City Air Travel...Over POLLUTION

You can’t make this stuff up. But you can just shake your head and say, “Okaaaayyy?”

All air travel at London City Airport had to be halted because nine members of Black Lives Matter UK (BLM UK) chained themselves together on the runway in protest of the “environmental impact of air travel on the lives of black people locally and globally.”

By that logic, it might be safe to assume BLM UK thinks the “environmental impact” on those who aren’t black is perfectly fine, right?

According to The Guardian:

The Metropolitan police said nine protesters erected a tripod on the runway and locked themselves together just before dawn.

By 9.30am, seven of them had been arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass, being unlawfully airside, and breaching the airport’s bylaws.

There should be no suspicion. If they were taken into custody on the runway as one of the protesters then they either trespassed, or they didn’t.

Officers negotiated with the two remaining protesters that were still locked together.

Hmmm, maybe just arrest them. Seriously, what was there to negotiate? They were blocking domestic and international traffic at a major airport. Put them in jail, and then talk to them.

The kicker of this whole story, as if there weren’t enough already, was that the spokeswoman for BLM UK said that all of the BLACK Lives Matter protesters were WHITE.

As said earlier, you can’t make this stuff up.

There is nothing wrong with protesting within the law, but it might be time to for authorities to put their foot down against protesters that inhibit the daily lives of others.

BLM UK also released a video on their Twitter feed to explain their stance, which they reference studies by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to substantiate their position on the matter.

Sure, because the United Nations doesn’t have an agenda at all. Someone needs to stand up against the United Nations and begin calling them out for their human rights violations.

Black Lives Matter and the United Nations…a match made in Hell.
