In an extreme form of irony, a white Bernie Sanders supporter allegedly called a black Second Amendment supporter “racist” because he was wearing a “Black Guns Matter” t-shirt.

The white guy, only identified as “Tyler” by CBS 4 - Denver, claims that he was recording the black guy and a couple other people booing during Sanders’ speech on Sunday evening at the Colorado Convention Center. Tyler also claimed that the guy shoved him through a barrier and that’s when the footage of the altercation caught by CBS 4 - Denver began.

The black man wearing the “Black Guns Matter” t-shirt says that Tyler was the one causing an issue.

“He had a problem with the shirt I was wearing,” the man said. “I was recording the event, he walks up and calls me a racist. But I thought, ‘What’s he know about black lives, about discrimination, or, for that matter, the representation of the shirt.’”

The Second Amendment supporter told the outlet that agrees with Sanders on some issues, but gun ownership isn’t one of them.

“I think it’s really a sad thing at a Bernie rally, when someone has a difference of opinion, that someone would be treated like that,” the man also said. “I thought it really would be a lot more inclusive than that. It’s not a safe place to express differences. I would expect that sort of thing at a Trump rally.”

Here’s video of the altercation:

As you can see, Tyler had to be restrained following the conclusion of the scuffle, but the black man chose to walk away.
