Bill Clinton let it slip at a rally for his wife in Fort Myers, Fla., on Wednesday that he views Donald Trump supporters’ as “your standard rednecks.”
“The other guy’s base is what I grew up in,” said the former U.S. president. “You know, I’m basically your standard redneck.”
His remark comes just weeks after Hillary Clinton called half of Trump’s supporters “deplorables,” or people who are racist, sexist, xenophobic, or homophobic.
