Will the schools ever open? CDC Director Rochelle Walensky may have stated that “vaccinations of teachers is not a prerequisite for safely reopening schools,” but the White House has dismissed her views, and germaphobic teachers unions continue to remain unmoved by such statements.
So when will the schools open?
According to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, probably not soon - and even then, not by very much.
During a press briefing Tuesday, the new White House spokesperson explained that President Joe Biden’s goal is to “have the majority of schools, so more than 50 percent, open by day 100 of his presidency. And that means some teaching in classrooms, so at least one day a week, hopefully it’s more. And obviously it is as much as is safe in each school and local district.”

In other words, the White House's minimum goal is to have half of all schools open just once a week by April 30, 2021.
One would think that with the flood of executive orders coming from his office, Biden could have reopened the schools at least by day 10 instead of day 100, working with the unions he claims to love so much to get teachers back in the classrooms to help millions of students who've struggled to maintain their grades - and their health - during nearly a year or virtual learning.
But no. Apparently noble pursuits such as increasing the accessibility of abortion and protecting LGBT people from discrimination (read: persecuting businesses that don’t endorse the rainbow agenda) are more important than educating future generations.
When pressed, Psaki reiterated that “some,” and not the “majority” of teachers would return to the classroom, describing that as "teaching at least one day a week in the majority of schools by day 100.”
She later confirmed she meant in person teaching, specifically.

So far, Biden has killed jobs, admitted that he has no immediate solution to stop the rising death toll from COVID, exhibited complacency with China, and shown no concern for the welfare of the children of America, among other things. And it looks like schools staying largely closed while students suffer can be added to the already long list of immediate failures for this new administration.
