"We have the chance to rip the roots of systemic racism out of this country," Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden says in a video released on the Fourth of July.
Our nation was founded on a simple idea: We're all created equal. We've never lived up to it — but we've never stopped trying. This Independence Day, let's not just celebrate those words, let's commit to finally fulfill them. Happy #FourthOfJuly! pic.twitter.com/1WrATlx8Xl

In the video Biden says "American history is no fairy tale" as the country has never lived up to the words of the Declaration of Independence that "all men are created equal." "Jefferson himself didn't. He held slaves," Biden says. Adding that there have been "more than 200 years of systemic racism."
Biden's video comes a day after President Trump delivered a speech at Mount Rushmore where he criticized the "cancel culture" of activists and those who are trying to wipe out American history.
