Former Vice President Joe Biden in an interview on Monday said that he hasn’t made up his mind about running for president in 2020.

On tour promoting his new memoir “Promise Me, Dad,” Biden said that he isn’t “closing the door” on the possibility of a White House bid because he’s “been around too long.”

Now that’s a great campaign slogan!

“I honest-to-God haven’t made up my mind about that,” said Biden. “I’m not closing the door. I’ve been around too long.”

Going against President Trump, who during his campaign pledged to “drain the swamp” of Washington, D.C., or against other potential candidates such as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warner (D-Mass.), it may be difficult to run a successful presidential campaign on that message.

Biden told Oprah in a recent interview that he thinks he would have beaten Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Democratic primary.

He added that he regrets “not being president” – even though he wasn’t in the race to begin with.

Few believe Biden could win his party's nomination, considered moderate in comparison to Democrats today rising in prominence with their bold liberal agendas.
