Joe Biden signed an executive order about wearing masks on federal property Wednesday and was then seen later in the day not wearing a mask on federal property.
“I'm proud of today's executive actions,” Joe Biden said on Wednesday. “And I start by keeping the promises I made to the American people, a long way to go. These are just executive actions. They are important. But we're going to need legislation for a lot of these we're going to do. And the first order I’m going to be signing here - is relates to COVID, and its requiring, as I said all along, where I have authority mandating masks being worn, and social distancing be kept on federal property.”
Just a few hours later the 78-year old-Biden went maskless at the Lincoln Memorial, which is federal property, during a ‘Celebrating America’ event.
According to the New York Post, the White House has yet to respond to a request for comment.
