The Biden administration’s efforts to promote transgenderism aren’t just limited to our nation’s schools. Their newest targets, apparently, are prison inmates.

The Washington Free Beacon reported that the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) approved $1,496,500 in funds for a consulting firm known as The Change Companies to help transgender inmates "manage identity concerns during incarceration" and advocate for their "sexual health and safety.”

What this means is that the American taxpayer will now have to foot the bill for criminals’ hormonal treatments, new identification documents, and “safe housing options.”

In addition, inmates who identify as transgender will receive assistance from social workers with employment, and be taught about discrimination laws that protect them.

The Bureau of Prisons (BOP) spoke in glowing terms of the initiative.

“The BOP provides services and programs tailored to address the needs of the transgender population,” the Bureau of Prisons said in a statement to Fox News, “By entering into a contract with The Change Companies, the BOP is able to expand program offerings for transgender inmates."

"Through this engagement, the vendor has been tasked to develop transgender-specific programming to be implemented at all BOP institutions nationwide," the bureau explained. "These include three programs focused on reentry, transition acceptance, and a support group to assist transgender inmates in addressing reentry needs and managing identity concerns.”

“The development phase” of the curriculum is expected to wrap up by the end of September. We can only hope that it never reaches the deployment phase.
