This is apparently what we get with the Left now. Not only did we get liberals celebrating a train crash, because it had Republicans on it. This time we're getting calls for physical attacks against a sitting U.S. senator because he stood up for what he believes in.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) delayed the Senate vote on the budget deal until after midnight on Friday, causing a brief government shutdown over what he says is fiscal irresponsibility by the GOP for agreeing to a bill that “lifts spending caps while funding the government through March 23,” according to Fox News.
In response, one liberal Hollywood cult member called for Paul's neighbor, who infamously beat the senator on his own lawn during an altercation last November.
Actress Bette Midler sent out this heartless tweet late Friday:
Midler's tweet calling for violence against a sitting U.S. senator was far from the only one:
You're 14 minutes late, buddy. Be original.
Six broken ribs isn't hard enough, huh? Five bucks says this guy's never been in a fight before.
It's easy to "angrily" watch someone when you're always angry about something.
This guy actually thinks Paul's neighbor was justified in his attack of the senator. Either that, or he doesn't know what "aggrieved" means.
The Left has never been shy about giving their support to criminals.
Aww, this person must belong to a union.
Umm, currently facing a 21-month prison sentence?
Liberals are constantly finding new ways to make my job very simple. We are always trying to expose bias. But when the Left does things like this, the job practically does itself.
Just in case you were curious, here's what Paul had to say on the Senate floor late Thursday evening into Friday morning:
