A day after being showered with boos by House Democrats, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) seems to have finally come to terms with the fact that he is not going to be the Democratic nominee.

"Let me just say this. I got in the race obviously, to try to win,” Sanders said in an interview with Chris Hayes on MSNBC.

“We’re going to Philadelphia, and Hillary Clinton has more votes than I do. She is the presumptive nominee, and that is just basically the fact.”

This statement is notable as it is the first time that Sanders has referred to Clinton as the “presumptive nominee.”

Sanders also revealed that he is engaged in endorsement talks with the Clinton campaign.
