If you’ve followed my work at all in the last seven-plus years, you’d know that one of my big hills that I’m willing to die on is that you should never apologize to the woke mob, ever. And when the mob comes for you for things done years and years ago, ignore them, because all they want is the attention they didn’t get from some other part of their lives.

Actor Ben Stiller had to correct the record after someone on Twitter, obviously without doing a simple Brave search, accosted him for apologizing for the 2008 comedy classic, “Tropic Thunder.”

For context, people get all butt-hurt over several jokes in the movie, as well as actor Robert Downey Jr. playing an Australian character who undergoes pigmentation surgery to look like a black man for his character’s role in the movie within the movie they’re filming.

And in the immortal words of Downey’s character, “I’m a dude, playing the dude, disguised as another dude.”

Indeed you were, sir.

Oh, and Stiller's character in the movie played a mentally challenged man for his character's role in a movie within a separate movie the character had done in the past. It makes sense. Just go with it.

As for Stiller, he responded to the apology accusation in clear terms.

“I make no apologies for Tropic Thunder,” Stiller tweeted. “Don’t know who told you that. It’s always been a controversial movie since when we opened. Proud of it and the work everyone did on it.”

There are plenty of Hollywood cultists that will and have apologized for certain things they did or said in specific roles in the past. There’s no need for it. You see, they’re doing a little something called acting. It’s not real. I swear.

Maybe if the woke mob had lives in which they did anything productive besides display their daily cranial combustion over things that aren’t about them, they wouldn’t be such miserable people.
