Retired neurosurgeon and 2016 presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson said Sunday that President Obama’s Iran Deal is “anti-Semitic” and calls him the “Divider-in-Chief.”

Dr. Carson wrote a piece for the Jerusalem Post last Thursday accusing Obama of anti-Semitism for his recent defense of the deal at American University, saying that Obama used “coded innuendos” to convey “standard anti-Semitic themes.”

“Shockingly, his diatribe also was replete with coded innuendos employing standard anti-Semitic themes involving implied disloyalty and nefarious influence related to money and power.”

Carson also accused Obama of “stooping to new lows far beneath the dignity of the office of President” for unapologetically comparing Iranians chanting “Death to America” with Republicans and claiming that the two very different groups shared a “common cause.”

Dr. Carson appeared on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace and defended the sentiments he expressed in his piece. When Wallace pushed Dr. Carson on the issue, Carson told Wallace to go to Israel and try to find a single average Israeli citizen who didn’t feel betrayed by the Obama administration.

“All you have to do Chris is, like I have, go to Israel and talk to average people on all ends of that spectrum. I couldn’t find a single person there who didn’t feel like this administration has turned their back on Israel.”

Unsatisfied, Chris Wallace pushed further, asking what exactly made Obama’s statements “anti-Semitic.” Dr. Carson didn’t miss a beat, answering that “anything is anti-Semitic” that goes against the survival of the state of Israel.

“I think anything is anti-Semitic that is against the survival of a state that is surrounded by enemies and by people who wish to destroy them. To ignore that and act like everything is normal there, that these people are paranoid, I think that’s anti-Semitic.”
