The Bee is free!

Just a couple weeks after taking over Twitter as the new owner and CEO, billionaire Elon Musk reinstated the Babylon Bee’s account - on the same day leftists predicted the entire website would shut down, no less.

The Babylon Bee’s 1.6 million-follower account had been suspended earlier this year for tweeting a satirical article naming Rachel Levine as its “Man of the Year,” in reference to the fact that biological men cannot become women.

The tweet was deemed hateful and a violation of Twitter’s policies by the progressives who used to run the site. Twitter promised to reinstate the group's account if they would delete the offending post, but the Bee refused.

It's been speculated that the open censorship of the right-leaning satire site for simply standing on the ground of biological gender may have prompted Musk to consider buying Twitter in the first place. The crackdown on the Bee's account launched a months-long campaign to “Free the Bee," as the site stood firm on principle even in the face of losing revenue from being unable to post on one of the world's largest social media platforms.

Musk had insinuated that at least one banned account would be coming back online in a cryptic tweet teased “Freedom Fridays,” with a tag reading, “spoiler alert.”

The Bee announced their return in a short and sweet post around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

The Bee's release from Twitter jail comes on the same day that hundreds of Twitter employees reportedly quit following an ultimatum from Musk telling staff that the workload for remaking the website, which he's held should be an open forum for free speech, will "need to be extremely hardcore." Liberals immediately began celebrating what they believed was the site's imminent demise...which, like their Climate Apocalypse, hasn't actually happened.

And, perhaps most hilariously, the tweet the Bee was originally suspended for is still up.
