Not even one day into the left’s favorite liturgical celebration of Pride Month, corporations have already bowed down to the LGBT community. Only the radical LGBT philosophy takes precedent during this time, especially the obsession with using proper pronouns. But they would not go so far as to force their ideology on rape victims' testimony, would they?
The BBC received an anonymous account of the rape of a lesbian after being coerced by a biological male who believed he was a lesbian. For some reason, the BBC decided the best course of action was to change the woman’s testimony from “him” to “they,” prioritizing the demands of the rapist over the words of a rape victim.
The original quote from the anonymous lesbian highlights that it was a man who raped her. The quote reads: "I was too young to argue and had been brainwashed by queer theory so he was a 'woman' even if every fibre of my being was screaming throughout, so I agreed to go home with him. He used physical force when I changed my mind upon seeing his penis and raped me." Instead of maintaining the integrity of the victim's testimony, the BBC altered the quote to reflect the very queer theory that blinkered the victim. The BBC originally wanted to replace all masculine pronouns with feminine ones, even though the woman was raped with a very male body part. A source told The Times, "They were originally all male references, but the woke bros at the news website wanted to make them female because of misgendering. It's quite shocking. I can't think of any other situation where we would change the words of an alleged rape victim."
The left, which once espoused “believe all women,” is now altering testimony in the name of identity politics and diversity. The changes in the article accept the delusion that there is no difference between a lesbian or a man who believes he is a lesbian. To add insult to injury, a lesbian who does not want to sleep with men is now deemed transphobic. To defend their insanity, BBC said, “It's routine to have editorial discussions about different stories. Our only intention when deciding on language is to make things as clear as possible for audiences.” To the leftist media, calling men, women, or one person “they” is their standard for clarity.
The LGBT community's influence is so strong it mandates that the media alters the truth to appease their philosophy. If BBC cannot provide unaltered testimony, how can it be trusted with honest reporting?
