Amazing. The leftist pop media darlings seem never to tire of dishonorably and childishly blaming conservatives and liberty-lovers not only for naturally occurring crises, but for crises that government bureaucracy is making worse.

From people like Bette Midler to Rachel Maddow, the motto that silence is golden seems to go way over their heads, and now, Axios founder Jim VandeHei is reminding Americans that he’s part of the problem.

Appearing on the gloriously sleep-inducing “Morning Joe,” Mr. Axios completely rewrote the history of US concern over COVID-19, and insinuated that conservatives, Republican Governors and President Trump were to blame for the spread of the disease.

Colby Hall reports for Mediaite:

What you’re seeing here, and this is a bigger problem for society, is information inequality,’ VandeHei said. ‘Like, why (did) Desantis do what he did? Why did Georgia wait so long? They were listening to President Trump. They were watching Fox News and listening to Rush Limbaugh. The information was there. In the information bubble, they were basically getting a lot of sort of noise and news pollution.’

Of course, like Morning Joe hosts ( Joe Scarborough erroneously claimed “everybody saw this coming” about the virus in early January, when checks on their reports show they were focused on impeachment) Vandehei conveniently overlooked the fact that President Trump moved early to restrict travel from China, and not only did leftist opponents criticize him, they seemed to go out of their way to DOWNPLAY the threat of the Wuhan Coronavirus.

Evidently, Mr. Axios didn’t read Brittany Hughes' MRCTV piece on this:

In fact, not only was no one in the media, including Joe, predicting this crisis in early January – many liberal politicians, including Nancy Pelosi, AOC, Bill de Blasio, NYC Health Commissioner Oxsiris Barbot, and others, went on the record as late as February and even mid-March claiming that this virus wasn’t that bad and that people should go about their lives as usual, even encouraging them to patron restaurants and attend large parades.

It’s insulting to see a coddled media darling show such profound ignorance and witness him mistakenly claim that it was conservatives and President Trump who were ignorant of the COVID-19 threat, even as he implies, just like Joe, that leftists were on top of the problem from day one.

It seems as if “Morning Joe” might need more java before going on the air, because Joe and his guests are sleepwalking through history, missing most of the important lessons.
