If there was any more obvious left-wing bias in AP White House Correspondent Mark Smith's report on Obama "Taking Charge" in the faltering debt talks it would have to go on the DNC website.
Just as in popular Democratic talking points, Smith repeated claims that Democrats are trying to protect seniors from "big cuts" in entitlements while the GOP is looking out for "fat cats." All the while Democrats are "pleading" with Republicans to "compromise." This narrative sets Barack Obama up as the common sense leader who will bring both sides together to find a bipartisan solution.
