If it's not bad enough that the White House is forcibly redistributing wealth to help parents pay for their own kids, socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is now urging illegal alien parents to sign up for President Joe Biden’s billion-dollar family tax credit program, which will given thousands in tax dollars to certain parents with "eligible children."
As determined, of course, by the government - not the people actually making the money that'll pay for the whole boondoggle.
Here’s the background: the (so far, but not really) temporary program will pay parents $300 for each child under 6, and $250 per child aged 6 or older. But it’s not for everyone – the funds apply only to single parents making $75,000 a year or less, or couples who earn up to $150,000. After that, you're crap outta luck...though the feds will still be happy to take your tax dollars to pay for everyone else's kids.
The $110-billion-plus program only extends through the remainder of 2021, though the Biden administration is urging Congress to pass a law making it permanent (because apparently, we’re not in enough debt already - what's $28 trillion? Or is it $29 trillion now? I can't keep up).
During a press briefing with New York Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Jerry Nadler Thursday, AOC made sure illegal aliens know they don’t actually need to be here legally to access the taxpayer-funded program – they simply need to have an American-born child.
"These centers are also offering help to undocumented folks with eligible children," the New York congresswoman.
"So any child with a Social Security number is eligible. Do not count yourself out if a parent and guardian is undocumented. You just need your individual tax identification number, or your ITIN," she went on.
"So please help us help you, help us help each other, and make sure you access the tools. These checks are supposed to be hitting our bank accounts next week,” AOC urged.
