AOC Says Republicans ‘Underestimate My Intelligence' - While Mistaking MRCTV Spoof Video for ‘GOP Attack Ad’

22.3k views

“I love everything about this GOP attack ad,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said in a tweet about a MRCTV video on Thursday.

“Republicans underestimate my intelligence,” Ocasio-Cortez added, linking to the video posted by the division of the non-profit Media Research Center, "bc I invite people into my home and speak plain English instead of DC jargon."

“They think that’s dumb, so they end up paying for ads that spread and explain our policy positions."

Underestimating her intelligence is certainly hard to do - especially, if she can’t tell the difference between a “GOP attack ad” and an entertainment product.

The video, a spoof of Jack Handy’s ‘Deep Thoughts’ skits from Television Parts and SNL in the 80’s, features AOC sharing her thoughts on climate change and her predictions about the underwater cities of the future.

The video is part of a series of “Shallow Thoughts With AOC” MRCTV has posted on social media.

None of them are ads.

None of them are paid for by the GOP.

All of them use her own words. All are pretty darn funny. You can enjoy more by clicking here.

But don’t underestimate AOC’s intelligence. Please. Don't.
