One of former President Bill Clinton’s paid liars, James Carville, unleashed another of his ongoing whoppers on CNN over the weekend. He made the outrageous, completely unfounded claim that people opposed to the Brittney Griner-”Merchant of Death” prisoner swap are homophobic, racist backers of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Carville served as lead strategist for President Clinton and worked on the campaigns of Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and other left-wingers. He’s been given CNN forums to push radical Democrat candidates and policies for several years, along with his latest tall tale on the Griner swap.
Carville told CNN Newsroom’s Jim Acosta Saturday that public disgust with the trade of Griner, a basketball player, for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout “exposed a big, big fault in American culture” among people who are likely “pro-Putin.”
“A lot of this, like a lot of things in America, are driven by the fact that this young person (Griner) is not white and is not straight. In fact, another thing I’d make is most of the people that are criticizing this, not all, are pro-Putin [and] anti-Ukraine,” Carville said in making a wild stretch that defies belief.
There’s absolutely no evidence that Putin love is behind America’s contempt for the weak-kneed Biden and his regrettable prisoner swap. All those so-called “American Putin fans” (in Carville’s imagination) are being drowned out by a few crickets.
Griner is black, lesbian, and woke, but what really rankles Americans is that she has spoken out against her home country and hates the national anthem. She is also a symbol of an unpopular SJW league that’s turned off a lot of people – the WNBA.
Most Americans realize President Joe Biden got played by Russia in making such a lop-sided trade. He could have used stronger bargaining chips, like pledging more support for Ukraine in the war against Russia, for example, to get American marine Paul Whelan released along with the basketball player.
It seems some of the loudest critics of Biden’s error have nothing to say about race or sexual orientation.
Mike Braun, a former official with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration called Bout “one of the most dangerous men on the face of the Earth.” Giving up this evil-doer for an athlete, as opposed to a Marine, is nonsense.
Cong. Mike Waltz (R-FL) called Biden’s trade a “major propaganda victory” for Putin and accused the U.S. president of letting his Russian rival “dictate” the terms of the trade.

Former DEA agent Tom Pasquarello helped catch Bout, and he, too, ridiculed the ridiculous prisoner exchange. Surprisingly, Carville should note, without praising Putin or bashing black LGBTQ folks. “I’m kind of in disbelief that someone with the potential to orchestrate arms deals that can kill Americans anywhere in the world would be traded for a prisoner,” Pasquarello remarked.
Pasquarello also believes Biden’s blunder is a sign to others around the world that the U.S. can be easily taken advantage of.
Breitbart previously pointed out how reckless Carville is with his baseless accusations. In fact, Make America Great Again Republicans running the Republican Party are crack cocaine addicts, Carville said. He also called the “majority” of Republican voters “stupid” and “evil.”
Truth be told, Carville needs only to look in the mirror if he wants to spot a stupid person.
