According to a statement made by Anna Wintour on the "Late Late Show," the President shouldn't have to worry about getting a tux for the Met Gala anytime soon.
Wintour was playing a game with the show host James Corden. The rules were simple: either answer a question or eat a number of disgusting items, like a 1,000-year-old egg or Junebug.
"You famously host the celebrated Met Gala that takes place in Manhattan each year. Celebrities from all walks of life are desperate to get a ticket. Everyone from Beyonce to George Clooney attends. So my question is, who would you never invite back to the Met Gala?" Corden asked the Met Gala co-chair.
After pondering on the question for a moment, Wintour simply replied, "Donald Trump" -- which, of course, received a loud applause from Corden and the audience. Things quickly died down and the two continued to play the game without further mention of the president or politics.
Luckily enough for Trump, there is quite a bit on his plate already and attending the Met Gala probably isn't on the top of the priority list.
As for Wintour, let's hope her no-invite list also includes the likes of Harvey Weinstein, who has attended before.
