Poor Amy Schumer. In the world of snowflakes, people like her actually believe they could never do anything lackluster or wrong.

Enter the always un-funny, joke-stealing, thinks-everything-she-does-is-gold “stand-up comedian,” Amy Schumer.

After a multitude of bad reviews for her new Netflix stand-up special, “Amy Schumer: The Leather Special,” Schumer thinks that her 1-out-of-5-star Netflix customer rating is not because of her poor performance, but because the “alt-right” and the current administration don’t want her to do well.

Here’s a portion of what Schumer wrote on Instagram Wednesday:

I am embarrassed for the "journalists" who report on trolls activities as if it's news. It's indicative of administration right now[…]It's indicative of [Trump] administration right now.  Anyone who reported that "viewers aren't happy" with my special, it would have been cool if you did a moment of research before posting. The alt right organized trolls attack everything I do.

I’m so sorry, Amy. Your negative reviews couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact that you’re a hack comic who steals better comedian’s jokes.

I watched part of this special. Not because I find Schumer funny, but because I love stand-up comedy. There wasn’t one moment of the 10 minutes I suffered through before turning it off that could be construed as comedy.

Personally, I have no problem with profanity in comedy as long as it supplements the joke instead of simply being the joke. Unless it was George Carlin. Watching him dissect the English language in his prime was pure art.

“Art” would not be a word to describe Schumer’s latest entry in the stand-up comedy lexicon. It seemed that Schumer was using profanity as a crutch. The problem is that the crutch was broken. Overuse and poor timing of profanity also hindered this performance.

The bottom line is that are many reasons to dislike Schumer, but I’m confining my displeasure to this specific special and Schumer’s subsequent deflecting of the possibility her material was subpar.

If she was legitimately funny people wouldn’t come down on her as hard for her non-sensical modern feminist ramblings on.

Unfortunately for Schumer, I think it’s back to the drawing board. She can post all she wants about how people who disagree with her politically are at fault for her ratings, but she has no one to blame but herself.
