'All the Press Makes This Worse': Man Goes OFF On CNN During Live Protest Coverage

CNN may have gotten a little more than they bargained for when they sent a reporter to cover protests and unrest in Minneapolis Monday night. Instead of finding violence or passionate protests, their camera crew came across a man who proceeded to go on a profane tirade against the network and the rest of the media for coming in and exacerbating the situation with cameras and free publicity.

The man, who refused to give his name on camera, lit up CNN reporter Sara Sidner as she tried to cover the mayhem taking place in Minneapolis, as the city roils with unrest during the highly publicized trial of police officer Derek Chauvin and following the death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, a Brooklyn Center man shot and killed by police during a traffic stop over the weekend.

“All the press and all the extra sh*t y’all do makes this worse. When people want to protest, they shouldn’t do it in front of a f***ing police courthouse,” he yelled on live TV.

The reporter then told the man she was worried he might be hit by a projectile as he spoke, gesturing to the flashbangs and sounds of chaos going off in the distance.

“Do I look like I’m scared? Do I look like I’m scared?” the man asked.

When the reporter replied “No, you don’t,” the man answered, “Exactly.”

“Y’all need to get up out of here with all that twisting up the media,” he said, accusing CNN of “editing out” what they don’t want viewers to see in order to “make people look crazy.”

Minneapolis and several other cities across the U.S. have struggled to contain violent outbreaks over the past several days, as the high-profile trial of the officer accused of murdering George Floyd enters into its second week.According to The Blaze, model and BLM activist Maya Echols took to TikTok last week to declare that "If George Floyd's murderer is not sentenced, just know that all hell is gonna break loose. Don't be surprised when buildings are on fire. Just sayin.'"
