Meet Skye Tooley, a self-proclaimed “anti-bias educator” who once again made headlines for pushing blatant bias in the classroom.

In a recent video, the Los Angeles teacher proudly told followers she’s “indoctrinating” her 5th grade students this Pride Month with lessons on queer icons and Pride flags.

Tooley may have been awarded with a Human Rights Award by the California Teachers Association in 2023, but a quick scroll through her feed (and her track record) tells a different story.

This isn’t her first controversy. In 2024, Tooley went on a rampage accusing people of racism…over grammar. Yes, grammar.

It makes you wonder: what exactly are her students learning? When I was in elementary school, I was circling adverbs in my Sadlier Grammar Workshop.

It gets worse. Tooley has been relocated between multiple schools in the LA Unified School District after repeated parent complaints about inappropriate classroom content. Rather than addressing the concerns, Tooley claims she was being targeted for being trans.

And it doesn’t stop there.

Tooley has also faced backlash for antisemitic and anti-Israel propaganda— both online and in the classroom. She posted children's schoolwork featuring slogans like “From the river to the sea, Palestine must be free” and “Stop the bombing.” One report alleges she even pledged to teach 10- and 11-year-olds to “unlearn Zionist propaganda” that says Hamas is a terrorist organization.

At what point do we stop calling this “anti-bias education” and start calling it what it is: radical indoctrination.
