Actor Pierce Brosnan Credits Trump on Economy, Jobs: 'Step in the Right Direction'

Look, we don’t have to agree on everything with liberals and leftists. But, if we can find some common ground at times it would go a long way in beginning rational conversations that seem to have gone by the wayside in the last few years.

Former “James Bond” actor Pierce Brosnan was recently interview by The Hill’s “In The Know” (ITK) section, and not everything he said was critical of the job President Donald Trump has been doing.

Brosnan, who has been predominantly critical of Trump in the past, told ITK that he feels “the economy is very good” and that he loves America.

Here’s part of what Brosnan said:

I think what he’s done for the economy is very good. People are working, and that’s a step in the right direction[...]This country is part of my life. I’m an American citizen. I love America and America’s been very good to me. And I want to see happiness come back into our society.

It takes a big person to compliment someone and the job they’re doing when they’ve previously said that Trump “has torn this country apart,” as Brosnan said in a 2018 interview with The Daily Mail.

Brosnan had also previously noted that he was considering moving back to Ireland because of Trump. I'm guessing he thinks differently now.

I don’t agree with a lot of what Brosnan thinks politically. Heck, I didn’t even agree with some of what he said in this specific interview. But, at least Brosnan was big enough to give Trump credit where credit is due and rarely given.

It’s baby steps, but it’s one towards possibly getting back to the point where we can at least have conversations without protesting or throwing milkshakes.
