Aborted Babies' Brains Shipped to Summer Camps?

On Thursday, the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives released notes from the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center that decribed in gruesome detail the types of fetal body parts from aborted babies that had been handed over for scientific research, including brains and other "intact" organs that were requested to be shipped to summer camps for dissection projects by students.

Inspired by undercover videos released last summer by the Center for Medical Progress, the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives, led by Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R- Tenn.), examines potential illegal actions in the abortion industry regarding sale of fetal tissue.

During the course of their investigation, the panel has gathered information from university and corporate labs and abortion clinics regarding transactions of fetal tissue. Oftentimes, their findings are highly disturbing. This was no exception.

The notes from UNM health center were gruesome. The journal identified potentially useful pieces of tissue in gory detail, noting the type of tissue and the age of the ‘specimen’ they used to belong to. For example, “20 wk twins – intact brains” or “brain, 2 eyes, heart [from a 24 week old]”or “24 wk dig. head not intact.”

It’s horrible, but it gets worse. Some notes, in addition to cataloguing the tissue, tell where the tissue is bound, and it’s not pretty. From one entry:

“Asked clinic for digoxin treated tissue 24-28 wks. for methylation study & because [redacted] wants whole, fixed brains to dissect w/ summer camp students.”

It seems unbelievable, even Orwellian. Brains harvested from babies, including many that were aborted, are actually being sent to children to dissect for science class.

Nonetheless, the Panel on Infant Lives continues to slog through the muck in an attempt to make clear the unbelievable actions of the abortion industry.
