Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers could possibly repeat as the NFL’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) this year. Nonetheless, he’s been a punching bag for the vaccination-crazed left and for Packers’ detractors over the team blowing a fourth quarter lead and quickly exiting from the playoffs. He actually feels some empathy for his haters, because they’re suffering from what he terms “COVID fear porn.”
What is COVID fear porn? Psychology Today identifies it as mainstream media content that "deliberately" plays upon people's fears about disaster, disease and death and attempts to alarm people. Media in the U.S. and around the world have certainly done this with COVID vaccinations and booster shots.
“There were a ton of people tuning in rooting against us for one reason and one reason only," Rodgers, who declined to be vaccinated, said Tuesday in a podcast interview with former NFL player Pat McAfee. "And it’s because of my vaccination status and them wanting us to lose so they could pile on and revel in the fact that my vaccination status was some sort of reason why we haven’t had success in the playoffs.”
Despite all the hate coming his way, Rodgers says he has empathy for his detractors because their hatred for him stems from “media-generated COVID fear porn.” They are caught up in the fear generated by the media. And of course, the left-stream media is nothing but a fear-mongering mouthpiece for the regime in power.
"There’s so much fear around this,” Rodgers said. “And the media plays a big role in that. The fear porn that is put day after day causes a lot of strife and stress for people. Because I don’t watch the news or don’t subscribe to the same type of mainstream narrative…there’s anger thrown my way."
Like so many discerning people with legitimate concerns about vaccines, Rodgers said he has not bought into “mainstream narratives” on COVID. He assumes responsibility for his own health care by reading up on the topic and associating with people who do likewise, rather than just soaking up the government’s fear, threats, mandates and lockdowns. He’s quickly become a pariah who won’t get in line with the lemmings swallowing everything Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Biden Administration and the pharmaceutical industry dish out about vaccines.
Rodgers also said he does not believe that hatred, fear and name-calling will get the world out of the pandemic.
“It’s gonna be love and connection and actual conversation and debate and information sharing," said Rodgers. "And not information sharing that’s being fact-checked by the same individuals running the pharmaceutical industry.”
Think about the last part of that statement. Big Pharma has made a fortune on vaccines and boosters which have spotty records at best in preventing COVID infections. All while spreading "COVID fear porn."
