Dan Savage is an American gay activist, author, media pundit, and journalist. He also created the "It Gets Better Project" to fight help against bullying however, Savage is quite the bully himself. Here are several examples of extremely hateful things he as said over the years. (Warning Strong Language)
1. Referring to Republicans Savage said: "I wish they were all f--king dead."
2. On Rape Survivors. “I’m extremely sorry that you were raped, DRARS, although your baseless accusations of rape make me doubt you when you claim to be a survivor of rape. The feminist bloggers are going to accuse me of thought crimes: If a woman says she was raped then, by God, she was raped. (Tell it to the lacrosse team.) But if my reaction to your letter is a thought crime, I can only plead entrapment: I wouldn’t have had these illegal thoughts if you hadn’t sent me such a stupid letter in the first place. […] Finally, DRARS, I hereby withdraw my consent for you to read Savage Love. If you continue to read my column against my will, well, we all know what word to apply to your actions.”
3. Dan Savage suggests "Mandatory Abortions for about 30 years."
4. In an interview with Daily Pennsylvanian he said this. "Carl Romanelli should be dragged behind a pickup truck until there's nothing left but the road." "Any progressive who votes for a Green anymore after Nader and now Romanelli is a fucking idiot and should be beaten with sticks." "If Carl Romanelli gets back on the ballot, someone should run him over with a truck."
5. "Every Dead Gay Kid is a Victory for the Family Research Council." "Tony Perkins sits on a pile of dead gay kids everyday he goes to work."
6. "People often point out that they can't help it, they can't help with the anti-gay bullying, because it says right there in Leviticus, it says right there in Timothy, it says right there in Romans that being gay is wrong. We can learn to ignore the bullshit in the Bible about gay people." Then he went on to call say this statement when students were walking out of this presentation. "It's funny to someone who is on the receiving end of beatings that are justified by the Bible how pansy-ass people react when you push back."
7. "The GOP's house faggots grab their ankles, right on cue: [link] Pathetic."
