1. His birth name is not Bobby
Jindal’s birth name is Piyush. When he was young, he changed it to Bobby after Bobby Brady from the Brady Bunch. (via)
2. Jindal has not always been Catholic
He was raised in the Hindu faith and converted to Catholicism as a teenager. Jindal almost joined the priesthood, but ultimately decided it was not the right path for him. (via)
3. First Indian Governor
Jindal is the son of immigrants from India and is the first governor to have Indian roots in the United States. He is also Louisiana’s first non-white governor since Reconstruction. (via)
4. He’s delivered a baby
Jindal’s wife went into labor and they barely had enough time to call 911. He ended up delivering their son at their house before paramedics had time to get there. (via)
