Don’t hold out for “the perfect candidate,” First Lady Michelle Obama cautioned Hillary Clinton supporters at two separate Hillary For America events in North Carolina on Tuesday.

“There is no such thing” as the perfect candidate, Mrs. Obama warned both crowds, though, in one case, she declared that “candidates” are only human, and in the other that “presidents” are merely flawed human beings.

Thus, Mrs. Obama said, voters are left to choose between Clinton and “her opponent,” though, in both cases, she refused to refer to that opponent, Republican Donald Trump, by name.

Rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, Charlotte Convention Center, Charlotte, North Carolina, 12:53pm:

“Remember, it’s not about voting for the perfect candidate -- there is no such thing.  Candidates happen to be human.  In this election, it’s about making a choice between two very different candidates with very different visions for our nation.  So the question is: Do you want Hillary Clinton to be your President or do you want her opponent to be your President?”

Reynolds Coliseum, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina, 3:29 P.M. EDT:

“And remember, it is not about voting for the perfect candidate -- there is no such thing.  Presidents are human.  In this election, it's about making a choice between two very different candidates with very different visions for our nation.  So the question is, do you want Hillary Clinton to be your President or do you want her opponent to be your President?”
