Washington, D.C. police on Wednesday arrested a 14-year-old kid – you read that right, a 14-year-old kid – on suspicion of at least seven – seven – carjackings.

As violent crime continues to spiral out of control in the nation’s capital, D.C. police say they arrested the young teen and charged him with crimes relating to six carjackings and one more attempted carjacking that took place between June 13 and July 18.

Oh, and it gets worse. In each incident, police say the owner of the car was in the vehicle at the time it was stolen. Some victims were assaulted, while others were ordered out of their cars at gunpoint. Police added that each attack was carried out by several people, including, allegedly, the 14-year-old.

According to Fox News, the kid has been charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon and auto theft, five counts of unarmed carjacking and one count of an attempted unarmed carjacking.

Hey D.C. police - while you’re at it, arrest the parents. If you can find any.
