Mark Finkelstein

Mark's undergrad degree is from Cornell. He has law degrees from SUNY Buffalo and Harvard. He practiced law in NYC, Mexico City, and Paris, before doing a stint as a pro tennis manager and tournament organizer. He returned to his college town of Ithaca, NY and got involved in real estate development and politics.

In 2011, Mark moved to Pecan Plantation, TX, and in 2018, to Oak Island, NC.

Mark's a dog lover who has used his small plane to do many dog-rescue flights. He speaks Spanish and French.

On his MSNBC show, Al Sharpton falsely claims that the sequester would shut the airport in Rep. Paul Ryan's hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin.  In fact, the sequester would at worst close the control tower at the airport.  The airport would continue to operate under well-established FAA rules for non-towered fields.  In the United States, less than 3% of airports have towers.

On Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski says it's "silly" to discuss the fact that President Obama didn't tell the truth when during a presidential debate he claimed that he hadn't initially proposed the sequester, Congress had. Trying to end the uncomfortable discussion, at one point Mika declares "I'm moving on."
